JayR - Platinum Prince of Soul
When it comes to my career I'm a little bit of everything. I'm the guy behind the board engineering a song. I'm the guy running to the printing store for a few hundred more posters. At times I'm the guy making the last call about an album cover design. Sometimes I'm one of the guys responsible for writing and producing a Platinum selling song. And up till now, I'm still the guy that cleans up the studio. But I am a singer by heart.
Growing up in a musical family was a major influence in my life. My father accompanying my mother with the piano while my mother serenaded was a regular day in my childhood. It was a big influence on us brothers and sisters. That's one of the reasons why I value my family the most. I love my family. They showed me the path to my dreams. I wouldn't change a thing.
Now I am labeled as the Philippine's Platinum Prince of Soul. It's kind of a hard title to have. That title means I have to be the best in my category. So I'm always trying new things. Always trying to learn more. Trying to get to the top and stay planted there are my goals right now. I tell ya it's a hard thing to do. Luckily my albums are still doing well. My album "Soul In Love" officially became platinum. My current album "OPM Love Classics" is almost gold so please try and pick up a copy. Thank you for your support.
Recently I launched a couple artist under my label Homeworkz. The first artist was Chelo and her single "Pinays Rise" stayed in Myx's top 10 for two months reaching #3. Her next single "Connection" is a collaboration with me and Q-York. Q-York is the 2nd artists I launched under Homeworkz. You can watch their single "Yuoy" in the Homeworkz artists tab on the left.
